Starting to read this text, you are probably thinking "Oh, another Messi for my Barcelona" - I am afraid you will be disappointed, dear Reader. This player I want to introduce here is a very ordinary one, there are lots of those like him. But he has this "THING" that prompted me to buy him to my Feyenoord.
Rogier was born in 1987 in Amsterdam, but he started his career not in metropolitan Ajax, but in less honored NAC Breda. In his short career he has already played for Breda's first team, although 2008/09 season has spent on loans to Excelsior Rotterdam and HFC Haarlem.
As I said, he is an ordinary player, and to sign him to Feyenoord he convinced me with his work rate and teamwork (random attributes, but surprisingly often on a very good level). Moreover, he looks nice physically and technically too, he can also dribble, cross and pass the ball. Unfortunately he is weak long shots, set pieces and heading. Veenstra is certainly noteworthy if only because of a low price we can buy him out of Breda. Personally I don't count on that he would come to Poland nor was capable to cope at European top club such as Manchester or Barcelona. Middle class European clubs are just right for him.
