Nicolas Otamendi was born on 12 February1988 in General Pacheco (Buenos Aires district). He has started his carrer in Velez and made first apperance on 10 May 2008. In last season he played 27 games and scored 1 goal. After it, a lot of clubs like Inter, Juve and Real Madrid has shown interest in buying Argentinian defender. But all in all, he has stayed at Velez. His good play made that Diego Maradona has called him to national team - Otamendi make his debut versus Panama.
