As I was exploring the talents' database on F-M.info, I was pretty shocked that there wasn’t one of the most talented young strikers along Bojan there.
Tomas Necid was born on the 13th of August 1989 in Prague. He's started his career in Slavia Prague, from where he got to the Czech U-17 team. With Thomas' help, his national team qualified with ease to the U-17 European Championship in 2006 and became a runner-up there. Necid scored five goals and won the Top Goalscorer award, alongside with Bojan and Manuel Fischer. After 2 years, in the next European Championship, Tomas played in 4 games, scoring 4 goals. Our neighbours from the South didn't get a medal that time. Currently, Tomas is a back-up player for Martin Fenin in the senior national team.
Even though he's quite young, he's already managed to debut in the Champions League. In January 2009, he'll sign for CSKA Moscow. It is said that the Russian club paid 3 million euros for him.
Coach Rada calls him the next Jan Koller, because he's only 12 centimetres shorter than the Czech tower. Necid is tall, but he's also very fast. He can go past every opponent – that's his biggest advantage. Besides he's very good at finishing, impresses with his composure, concentration and teamwork. His idol is Didier Drogba. Pity that the Czech has already signed a contract. The players that manage CSKA Moscow will surely be delighted.
The player's profile is based on the 9.2.0 patch database.
