Sergio Arias was born on 27 february 1988. You might probably know him from Football Manager 2008. That lad was one of the best goalkeepers in the game. In FM 2009 he seems to be at least that good or maybe even better.
The Mexican started his career in Chivas Guadalajara or Dorados de Sinaloa, there are various opinions about that. In 2005, he was a first team player of an U-17 Mexico National Team and won the world cup with them. During the event, he conceded only three goals in nine games. He was named the new Osvaldo Sanchez by journalists. Right after the tournament he brought interest of a Spanish club Hercules FC, but they failed to sign him then. That situation may change in the near future as Sergio will probably soon make his debut in the Mexican First League. Wikipedia is sometimes really helpful when you are looking for that kind of information.
In the first season of the game, Arias is on loan at Dorados de Sinaloa. When I first spotted him, I wasn't really fascinated by his attributes. He seemed to be just an average player to me. But when I looked at his PA I knew, that he should find his place in our database of highly talented players. I have to admit that Mexican researchers use a great deal of imagination.
As I noticed, some of Sergio's attributes are random, yet that fact doesn't really matters much. The young lad simply "rocks". He is tall, athletic, agile, ambitious and have the ability to concentrate well during matches. He is also good at positioning and he usually makes the right decisions. Why, oh why can't I be like this? I blame the Polish winter which once again surprised the drivers... But let's get back to the young Chivas' player. He communicates well with other players, is good in air and have a high handling skills. I wanted to say, that the last attribute helps him with women, but I guess it wouldn't be as funny as I first thought... Time to drink some green tea...
Price is probably the biggest obstacle, when it comes to buy the lad. Arias is valued really high. To be honest, I didn't even try to buy him. Yet I think that Mexican should do well in average clubs from strong European leagues.
