Håvard Nordtveit was born on 21st June 1990 in a Norwegian city called Vats. His football career started in the Vats 94 club. Later he joined Skjold IL where he played in youngsters’ teams. Year 2005 was a turning point for him because he was bought by FK Haugensund. This was the place where he started taking part in the league regularly. In 2007 he drawn attention of Arsenal, which is famous because of it’s ability to find talented players. The result of this is a signed contract with The Gunners. At 18th August 2008 he was loaned to UD Salamanca. He will get to know new climate, bask in the sun and gain some experience. Havard goes through all national teams systematically. He started at U-16 to get to U-21 in which he plays right now. One or two years more and he will get his first appearance in the senior team. I am convinced that it will happen.
In the game Nordveit is a very loyal, hard and ambitious central defender (if necessary Havard can be a DM too). He is really young but impresses with his strength. His heading, marking and tackling are on a high level already. He can pass the ball pretty nicely too. Let’s see the mental attributes. Well, surprisingly Havard is quite good here too. It would be nice though to work on the concentration and composure attributes, but they will rise eventually along with more experience.
According to some experts he is quite similar to Kolo Toure. Well, for sure it is not because of his appearance. Something from the ‘Did you know…?’ series: Nordveit is a fan of Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which is quite strange for an Arsenal player.
Any club from the Orange Ekstraklasa does not have any chance to get him. The Gunners are not too keen on getting him out too. The last option left is a loan. There should be no problems here.
