Do you know how I found out about this lad? My team was playing a friendly against Pumas and Eduardo scored 2 goals for our opponents. Things that he could do on the pitch literally rooted me to the spot, it was astonishing - the Mexican forward had it all – both great long shots and ones at close range, fighting spirit and keenness for attacking football, you name it, he dribbled past the opposition like they were training cones. It was magic, pure magic. Clearly the lad must be sleeping with the ball under his pillow or having sex with it every night. What’s certain is that this thing made of leather and kicked around the pitch really does love Eduardo.
After the match had finished I made an offer to buy him, unfortunately he did not like the contract terms at first; poor guy, he didn’t even know where Poland was. But I will work on it, mark my words – he will be so bloody good that he’ll soon win even in a geography competition.
Eduardo is one of the most gifted players I encountered while playing FM 2008. Ok, maybe he is not as wonderful as Stancu, but he is all right nonetheless. The Mexican forward possesses great pace, he is an able dribbler and good finisher. Those are his basic strengths. What’s more, he is also adept at heading, crossing, passing and he knows full well how to take a good free kick. It’s almost unbelievable how good he is. Just look at the potential, and the price tag of 14,000 euros for a player with PA of -8 is a dream coming true, really. In short, Eduardo is money well spent for every manager, regardless of the league you are playing in. Sadly, I do not think he would be willing to move to Orange (Polish) Ekstraklasa, though.
