After I'd watched some players, I saw this attacking midfielder. A glance at his skills was enough for me to be pretty impressed.
Axel Witsel was born on the 12th of January 1989 in Liege. He's a home-grown of RSC Vice, but before he become 18, he'd signed for a leading Belgian club, Standard Liege. From the first trainings on, he showed off his technique, dribbling and flair. Witsel is playing in his national team. Before, he'd been capped in all the teams, from U-17 one to the senior one. In the first team, he's already played twice, scoring once. He's also taken part in the U-21 European Championships in Holland in 2007.
In 2008, he won the Belgian First Division along with his club and has also been given a Young Player of the Year award. Witsel isn't an expensive player. His value isonly one million euros. His dribbling, flair and runs with the ball will be useful for every team. Anyway, he's already been touted as the biggest Belgian talent ever.
