Lucas Biglia is one of a very few examples that good defensive midfielders can come from Argentina. Biglia began his football career in the Argentinos club, where he scored three goals in 22 matches. After a very successful first season, the second was worse – he played in 15 matches and scored only one goal. Although Argentinos fans loved Lucas, he decided to move to Independiente, and this transfer occurred to be a hit. Biglia began showing his extraordinary skills again and, as a result of it, he was chosen to play in the national U-21 team. After two good seasons in Independiente, Anderlecht Brussels noticed young Lucas. The management was under such a big impression that they decided to get him for 3 million euro.
For the time being, Lucas has played 25 matches in the national U-21 team, in which he scored two goals. I recommend Biglia to any European club. The Argentine is a great defensive midfielder, who can be useful in any team. Is he a future Esteban Cambiasso?
