Players are undecided about the new option in FM 2009.
We still can see the effects of the new FM 2009 option to manage a club as a woman. This aspect of the game will surely be discussed, since many do not see any point of this new feature. Will the realism of the game drop? Not necessarily.

The existence of women in the men’s football is nothing extraordinary – we know that they can play a vital role in a match (being an arbiter) or in the club’s board (ie. Karren Brady or Katarzyna Sobstyl who are a director and a chairman). Still, the phrase ‘a woman is our new manager!’ is making you smile, isn’t it? It is hard to imagine a press conference after a Champions League match where the losing team’s coach makes gross comments about his female rival.
The appearance of this option in the newest FM made players divide into two groups. Some think that it will make the game less realistic while the others say that SI is wasting time for yet another time. Programmers try to defend themselves stating that the number of women in football is rising all the time and the Football Manager has many female players all around the world. Besides, only a player will have the ability to create a female manager therefore there is no worry that after a few seasons the computer would generate managers of both genders making the game less realistic.
