When answering such questions, which appear on Sufler and in our mailbox, we can only speculate because so far, Sports Interactive hasn't decided to reveal any informations related to Football Manager 2011. We can only make some assumptions basing on the last years practice. SI can't be denied regularity in yearly informing about new versions of Football Manager.

Last year, first screen related to Football Manager 2010, leaked out of SI headquarters in the middle of July, and the year before, when Sports Interactive was releasing FM 2009, official informations were revealed only in August. We have to keep in mind fact, that 2009 version was revolutionary, because it had introduced 3D. In the meantime, this year it's difficult to predict that something new, important and unexpected would be implemented into the game.

In some emails you asked us, if the release dates given by internet shops offering Football Manager 2011 in pre-order are real. Also in this case answer is not easy, but we can be almost 100% sure that like in previous years these dates are not final and also based on what was happening in the past. Definitely the most optimistic speculations were given by the following shop Play.com (29.99₤). According to this site, Football Manager 2011 will be available in stores on 8th of October 2010 ! This date is unlikely to be real, also because of econimical reasons for Sports Interactive. In the begining of given month, we're going to have releases of other important football games, mainly Pro Evolution Soccer and Fifa (for more information please go to PES Revolution and FIFA Revolution). Fighting for market shares with these games wouldn't be a good idea. Some more optimistic forecasts are give by others, because for example Zavvi.com (24.95₤), Asda (27.91₤) and The Hut (24.93₤) say that FM premiere will take place on 29th of October 2010.. It seems to be a reasonable date.

So please be patient, neither official and unofficiall informations have not been revealed so far. If some news arrive we'll definitely let you know on our site. Even Marc Duffy, one of people responsible for Football Manager Live, in one of recent interviews about FML, didn't answer the question if SI was working on FM 2011 and when could we expect first official informations.
