FM 09 was released only two months ago, but the fans are already thinking of the next one
The number of bugs in FM 2009 – even after installing the new patch – caused a discussion about the future of the series. Fans ask one vital question – is it worth to concentrate on improving the game at the expense of new features?

Though it is not known if the patch 9.0.2 is the final one, the fans have already started to think about the new edition of the game. These thoughts were provoked by the fact that the latest patch did not fix all existing bugs and many FM players say that the 2009 edition is one of the most bugged SI games.
One of the fans from the SI Forum asked others what their expectations are for the next edition: optimisation of the code and game acceleration combined with eliminating the bugs and improving existing features or entirely new options? The opinions were divided, with 80% that chose the first solution and 20% for the new features.
If the programmers were to hear those opinions, they would probably commit a marketing suicide (how would SI advertise the new edition without any new features?) Although it is impossible to avoid bugs in creating such an advanced application, the number of them is definitely too high. Combine it with the technical problems during installation and you will get even more dissatisfied players. The makers need to consider all these facts. And you, what would you rather have in FM 2010: innovations or reliability?
