News from Miles Jacobson's blog
Miles Jacobson is continuously adding new entries to his blog at hmv.com – this time coping with the deadlines. Among repeated complaints about the difficulties in writing a computer game, there's some essential information too.

The Sports Interactive office has been a beehive of activity for the past few days, because of the deadline which is getting closer, and – as always just when the job is about to be finished – it seems that now there's the most things to do. The workers try to keep their eyes open with matches, so they can stay by the screen as long as possible. Even though they won't manage and eventually will consider a keyboard as a comfortable pillow. Recently, a 21-hour working day in the SI Tower has been common, and the most hardcore ones have been working like that for even 3 days in a row.
And all that because the program writers, as well as the publisher, want Football Manager 2009 to satisfy them completely. This day is really close – the main works on the game are finished and the first version of it was sent to SEGA for tests on Monday. The company had 3 days for checking the quality of the product, but has rejected the programmer's offer due to problems with installing and reinstalling FM. No panic though – Miles writes, that he couldn't remember any first version of the game that would be accepted, moreover the next version is about to be sent over to the the publisher by SI.
To summarise: the works on Football Manager 2009 are being finished now, so the demo is supposed to come out in the next few days – this will happen shortly after the SEGA's tests, when the game will obtain the „Gold” status. Unfortunately, the new blog entry meant some bad news for those, who are waiting for the minimal PC requirements of FM – we'll get to find out about them the earliest at the beginning of the next week. The rest of the blog entry tells us about the preview of some new features of the Football Manager Handheld 2009.
