The issue of injuries in FM 2009 Demo really exists. SI Games promises to sort it out.
Back in the times of Championship Manager 4, two weeks after the release of Enhancement Pack 3 (what a catchy name) appeared so called EP3 Injury Fix, which was fm.exe file fixing the increased amount of injuries. Is History repeating itself?

Seems very likely. It turns out that no matter how heavy is our training regime, how hard our players tackle and how we set our pre-season friendlies we have the following problems:
The SI forum is flooded with screen shots showing the problem. Our fellow manager indistinct seems to have the biggest issue of all. He shows us his Arsenal squad after a month of gameplay (screen). At least we know that Fabianski is going to play in the next game. But what about the issue? Most probably the 9.0.1 patch, scheduled for 14 November, what coincides with Football Manager 2009 release date, should fix all these problems. Apparently the programmers came to a conclusion that if they are to fix things they should do it the way that would allow starting a new game bug free.
- The players are hardly ever 100% fit, usually 80-85%
- The number of injuries increased dramatically compared to regular statistics
