The answer is simple – this year's demo won't rather encourage the potential purchasers to buy the game and this time correcting the biggest errors that – briefly saying – scare everyone off, is the last-ditch for the game makers. Even though Football Manager is one of the best selling games in the UK, it's still lacking something to become the leader of this classification. It's highly probable that the moment, when the advertising campaign faced the reality, wasn't the best possible one for Sports Interactive. One of the results may be the mentioned patch.
