In this contest we'd like to see works which are innovative and creative, no more of dull stories describing how you were sitting in front of your computer playing the game. We want to hear a real story describing a man, or a woman, who decides to open up a new chapter in his or her life and become a football manager. Or maybe our hero had already been a manager before? Open up your minds and impress us!

The rules are simple - write an introduction to your Football Manager career. Tell us how it happened that you became a manager of the club, what you were doing before, about your history, maybe there is some mystery in the story, criminal bits etc. Use your imagination! There is no limits on how much you write, but you must remember that it must be interesting and actually worth reading. One paragraph won't do, I can assure you of that. Of course all the writing must be happening in our Manifestos - go here to start writing. The deadline for submitting your work is 2nd of January 2009 and the winners will be announced on the 4th of January 2009. At the moment the prizes we have are two copies of Football Manager 2009, but we do not exclude the possibility of adding up some extra gifts if we will think that other works deserve them.
