SI has decided to vary the boring journalists' questions
Apart from thinking about the new options for the FM 2010, the producers spend a lot of time improving the things that do not function too well in the 09 version. There is plenty of such ones but the biggest of them are surely the press conferences.

Lots of players were fed up with ticking the same answers for the asked questions just after a few hours spent with FM 2009. It seems that Sports Interactive has realised that, because in today's note on the Miles Jacobson's blog we can read about changes in this aspect of the game. However, before the SI boss started to write about them, he had been trying to explain to us that FM is quite similar to the real life in this case. Managers have to answer the same questions all the time, which is irritating. Anyway, the gamemakers have decided to widen the options due to lots of players' complaints.
First of all, lots of new questions have been added – a number of over 500! A big part of them will deal with the current situation in the team. A very positive thing is that the questions will now hardly ever repeat. This will surely help to get rid of the monotony. The answers will also be extended - all of them will have different categories, so from now on it won't be enough just to read the beginning of the question to know, what to tick.
Apart from the current press conferences (pre-match and post-match ones, the ones after joining to a club or during the pre-season) the ones concerning our transfers will be added. The journalist will ask us if some new players will be able to change the style of play of our team or if they will be able to become first team players straight away. Another issue will be players' wages and the financial situation of the team.
Miles mentions that things said about players will now affect them more. Saying bad things about some of them might cause that one of the best players will get offended and will demand putting on the transfer list. Choosing an appropriate assistant will also be vital in FM 10, because they will possess a special attribute responsible for press conferences.
As you can see the SI seem to care about the player's needs and luckily try to do their best to satisfy us. Soon, we will present another news about the changes in the media, so feel free to visit Football-Manager.info regularly!
