The director of Sports Interactive has managed to shell and discuss seven new, interesting options that will be implemented to the latest version of FM 2009.These are:
In that podcast, which of course can be downloaded, we have also heard interesting things not related to the FM. Soon we will probably witness one more important event for SI. The company is interested in sponsoring another team next to AFC Wimbledon. For now, Miles said only, that it will be, quite unusually, the junior squad of a Swedish team. What will emerge from this? We will see shortly.
- It will be possible to reserve the shirt number for a player that has played long enough for our club. How long? Miles did not reveal this, suggesting that the players should check it themselves.
- A big emphasis was put on the question of clubs from the inactive leagues. Players from such teams will now be playing a number of matches, so their statistics will be more accurate. This gives more sense to the loan option.
- Improved naturalization module - from now obtaining the citizenship will not be equal to having the possibility to represent a new homeland. Everything is to be reproduced in accordance to the facts, and apparently there are countries in which spending just two years means getting the citizenship, but it takes four to play in the national team.
- The judges under control - the work of arbiters will become a matter of public interest, so everyone including media will be able to make comments about arbiter’s work.
- The injuries history of each player will be implemented too. What’s more, you will be able to browse all players’ injuries before the start of the game (words of appreciation for the researchers).
- There will be new sound effects available! What exactly will it be? It is hard to say - perhaps everyone who have played Virtua Striker can tell us more about it, because the new sounds are the second thing, next to the motion capture technology, to be borrowed from the Japanese SEGA department.
- Useful option to reject all bids for the loans.
