The Independent has published a list of “The 50 Best Video Games” of all – time...
Have you ever thought about when the first game was created? It was the year 1952 and the game was a graphic version of Tic – Tac – Toe written on EDSAC. However, The Independent cuts down the history almost only to the last two years. Why?
Their list “The 50 Best Video Games” is very watered down It includes only the games from the last two years. Here goes the top ten of the ranking:
1. Wii Sports
2. Braid
3. Halo 3
4. Fallout 3
5. Rock Band
6. Burnout Paradise
7. Brain Training
8. Gears of War
9. Guild Wars
10. Rez HD
Now, attention please. On the 26th place we can find... applause... Football Manager 2009. Yes! 2009! Is it possible that the game, which has not been published yet, appeared in such a ranking? Is it realistic that Diablo II, one of the best games ever, was on the 44th place and on the other hand, Wii Sports held the 1st position? Of course, The Independent are allowed to create their own rankings but we recommend them not to do it very often.
