Miles Jacobson comments on new media module features
In his last three blog entries, Miles Jacobson talked about changes made to a media system in FM 2010. In his fourth entry, details concerning a new feature in an inbox have been revealed.

Having spent some time on discussions with the FM fans, Sports Interactive director decided that the amount of information that the game provides throughout a career is insufficient and decided to take necessary steps. As a result, Subscriptions feature has been introduced, thanks to which the users will receive information on a desired topic, e.g. news on a selected player, coach, competition or a favourite club. The feature has been included into a usual inbox, where all other news will also appear, just like in previous game versions.
To subscribe to a topic that the users would like to receive information on, they will need to click the appropriate button on the screen. In addition, possibility of selecting the type of messages will be available. On the first day of a manager's work at a club, a template with predefined subscription to certain news areas will be provided. This will for example include news on a favourite's club performance, news on a national team and domestic league of a nation we come from or international and continental competitions. The templates will be fully adjustable, of course.
This information has concluded a series of blog entries on media system in FM 2010. Will media be a really key feature then? Well, let's wait until SI releases a demo version and find it out.
